Hi. I'm Nurse Michele, the nurse educator. 

I'll be your instructor today.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit with me. I am an AHA Certified Instructor and specialize in providing AHA Certification classes in ACLS, BLS, and PALS for healthcare professionals and healthcare students throughout Long Island, New York.

I have been a clinical nursing educator for over 40 years. During those years, I have helped thousands of nurses improve their job performance, increase job satisfaction, and stay current with the newest techniques and regulations.

For all those years, I considered myself a nurse’s nurse because I was not hidden away in a classroom or office but on the floor daily – interacting with hospital management, the nurses, the patients, and the physicians.

For many years I was the Director of Nursing Education and Informatics at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. I was in the LICH Nursing Education Department for 25 years. I developed the desire to teach nurses 44 years ago when I was an ICU nurse at Staten Island University Hospital. At SIUH, I realized that I could learn how to be a better nurse by teaching other nurses. I haven’t stopped teaching since then.

I am also the Director of Medical Education at Dickson Keanaghan, LLC, a company that my husband Joe and I founded. We train the medical staff at over 700 hospitals, surgicenters, medical offices, dental offices, cosmetic and plastic surgery offices, walk-in medical offices, major drug stores, several colleges and universities, several public schools, many nursing agencies, one military base, and one prison – all on Long Island, New York.
